A powerful but very tasty and refreshing tequila-based cocktail. It’s perfect with nachos, tacos or guacamole and is one of the most popular cocktails in the country. Order it with Tequila reposado, triple sec, fresh lime juice and a salt-frosted glass.
Long live the red fruit mezcal!
A sweet and delicate drink to start a festive evening. Our main ingredient is the authentic mezcal with red fruits, mineral water and lemon soda, don’t hesitate to order it!
What is the celebration?
In the early morning of September 16, 1810, in the town of Dolores, today Guanajuato, the priest Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla launched the “Grito de Dolores”, ringing the church bell to gather the people and call for the end of the viceregal government and the beginning of the Mexican Independence. For a long time, the Mexican people took up arms to fight for their independence, reaching its culmination on September 27th, 1821.
In addition to the historical value of the date, it is also a day of celebration. Mexican Night, as it is well known, is the perfect time to get together with friends and family. One of the favourite parts of this date are the seasonal dishes, never missing the typical pozole, the authentic tostadas, the traditional chiles en nogada or the incomparable tacos. Always accompanied by a good tequila or mezcal and, for those who prefer non-alcoholic drinks, refreshing aguas de jamaica, horchata or tamarind.
The traditional fiesta patria begins at 23:00 on 15 September with the “grito” ceremony, where the president of Mexico, the governors and municipal presidents gather in the main squares to give the famous shout between bells and end with a “Long live Mexico”. This is the signal to start our celebrations.
