Coral Island - Riviera Nayarit

October 8, 2020 / 0 Comments

The island is located in Compostela, Nayarit. To get to this wonderful destination you must board a panga or boat. The experience begins when you get on the boat with a transparent bottom to observe in the sea the dolphins and humpback whales that you run into during the journey, until you reach an island of white sand and turquoise waters, surrounded by corals and manta rays.

Its sea is so clear that you can snorkel and dive to see the figure of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, which is hidden under the sea, or simply swim to see colorful fish, turtles and some jellyfish up close in their natural habitat.

Our Recommendations:

Whale watching: Only during whale season (November to March) on the way to the island, dolphins and humpback whales accompany you on your way. Once you get to the island you can take a walk and observe the fluttering of the birds of the region and listen to their chants.

Diving, snorkeling and paddle boarding: From the moment you are in the boat you will be able to see fish of all colors. The waves are calm and the water is very clear, so when you snorkel you will see coral reefs, anemones, manta rays, jellyfish and even turtles.

Virgen de la Purísima Concepción: From the boat you can appreciate the 1.60 meter statue of the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, considered protector of fishermen in the region. Or you can rent the equipment to snorkel or dive to appreciate the figure of this beautiful statue.
