Chichén Itzá

Chichén Itzá is one of Mexico’s top emblematic sites. It is considered a Human Heritage site by UNESCO, and its Pyramid of Kukulkán has been recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. This archaeological site is one of the most important in Mexico for the beauty of its buildings and its historic relevance.  Between history and legends, it was a ceremonial center throughout different eras, from the onset until the decadence of the Mayan Empire; it is comprised by the Cenote Sagrado, and its most important buildings are the Temple of the Thousand Columns, the Ball Game Patio, the Observatory, the Main Square and, of course, the Pyramid of Kukulkan, which displays the amazing spectacle of the appearance of the Feathered Snake each equinox.

Itinerary:        

  • Hotel Pick-up at 6:50 am from the lobby
  • Visit to the colonial city of Valladolid (45 min)
  • Visit and lunch at the Hubiku cenote-restaurant (1 h 15 min)
  • Visit to the archaeological site of Chichén Itzá (3 hours)
  • Return to the hotel approx. at 20:00 hrs.

Tips and recommendations:

  • Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, hat, sun block, bathing suit and towel (we will swim at the cenote)

  • This tour is not recommended for people with physical difficulties, cardiac, respiratory or back problems, or pregnant women. Climbing the pyramids is not allowed at the archaeological site.
  • A fee charged over by the government at the entrance of the site shall be paid for using electronic professional and non-professional video recording devices.

Sunset & Snorkel in Nichupté

A tour across the Nichupte lagoon, visiting a side of the Hotel Area not common to every tourist. After that, the tour includes a snorkeling activity known as “Meco Loco” in where we may find a great variety of fish swimming at the marine grasslands and some scattered species of corals; it also includes the seeing of shellfish, crustaceans and the famous underwater statues made of biodegradable cement, which will turn into beautiful corals throughout the time. After snorkeling, you will have the chance to enjoy the sunset at the lagoon and toast underneath the stars the Mayans observed for centuries.

Mayan Night Experience

You will visit the “Dos Palmas” Ecological Reserve, a small Mayan community in the rainforest, which keeps its traditions alive. You will learn about the Mayans ancient customs in a typical Mayan cottage. You will be part of the spectacular purifying ancestral ritual of Temazcal (a type of ancient sauna). You will also learn to play the sea snail, used in rituals to connect with nature. We will visit a night-lit cenote by walking through the jungle and swim in its crystalline waters. An unforgettable both relaxing and energizing experience. This magical vibe will continue as you end your day with a typical Mayan dinner, where you will be able to interact with a family living in the community.

  • In order to preserve the natural balance of the ecosystem, the park only allows the use of biodegradable sunscreen.
  • Remember to bring cash or credit/debit cards to shop around or have a unique snack.
  • People with disabilities shall be always accompanied by a family member or friend to assist them when required.
  • The activities in Xesnes are not recommended for people with heart conditions, fear of heights, claustrophobia or prone to become dizzy. Not recommended for people with recent surgical procedures, back pains or a weight above 136 kgs.
  • Some activities are not recommended for pregnant women.
  • The minimum required height and weight for zip lining is 1.40 m and 40 kg, respectively.
  • The Waterslide and Flight of the Bird activities include aquatic activities with a depth between 1.10 m and 1.70 m. For security reasons, these activities are recommended for children with a minimum height of 1.10 m and that everyone participating know how to swim. All these activities are individual.
  • For security reasons, avoid the usage of selfie sticks, canes or floating devices for sports cameras at the activity circuits.
  • The Flight of the Bird activity is recommended for children above five years of age, as long as the harness can be firmly secured.

Xoximilco was opened to pay homage to one of the most iconic places in Mexico, and this is the best option to choose if you truly want to enjoy a special Mexican fiesta in Cancún.

  • There are two handcrafts stores with amazing colors and a great variety of products for you to take home. The tour will be on a riverboat (“trajinera”) where you will find souvenirs like typical Mexican toys carved in wood, handcrafts, and candy.

  • Night tours in “trajinera” boats through the canals.
